Surf the Internet anonymously using PortableTor

junky-portabletor.jpgThere will be a time when you end up using a remote or temporary host PC to access the Internet. We always recommend you use portable applications on your host PC so that you do not leave any trace behind when you browse the Internet. The web history and cookie information will be written back to the portable apps, rather than to the host PC. Problem is that you have to use an ISP to access the Internet and this ISP can trace your traffic, browsing habits and the amount of data you download to the PC.

PortableTor 0.2 is an anonymous surfing tool that you can use to protect your location, web browsing history and Internet use from other Internet users, remote websites and the owner of the host PC. The added bonus is that when you access a remote website, as you are surfing anonymously, they can't determine your source location. Which means you won't get content tailored specifically for, say, the UK.
