If you're given a brand new work computer, the first thing you'll do is personify and customise your desktop. Add your own desktop image, change the size of the title bar, font smoothing, default fonts and much more. You probably won't be able to install and use a theme manager, but there's no reason you can't do that on your home PC. However, for some people this just isn't enough. We want our everyday applications to have a unique brand and style that reflects our personality.

Mozilla Personas for Firefox 1.0 is an official add-on that enables you to add a custom theme to your web browser. This theme isn't applied to any other application, so it only applies to the browser. Whether you think this a good thing is a personal choice. For us the themes seem to be aimed at kids, but then some people like to personalise more than others.
