V3 downloads round-up: Firefox 5, Sandboxie, Nitro PDF Reader 2

The web browser has been the number one choice for many over the past few years and improves with each incarnation. The latest v5 release ships with a number of new features that enhance a users browsing experience, all within a new streamlined interface. The HTML5 capabilities in Firefox v5 enable developers to create Web apps and websites, it brings all this to the Web to allow developers to build the next generation of Web applications.

A useful and popular add-on for all versions of Firefox is FlashGot. The latest version 1.3.0.2 ships with a number of fixes and fully supports the latest v5 of Firefox. This integrated download manager enables users to have more control over their Firefox-based downloads. Using your right mouse button, you can quickly and easily click on links and simply add them to the download manager, making it easy for you to download media files to your desktop.

A new version of the popular Sandboxie application is also available. Used and recommended by many, this useful utility provides a safe environment for trying new software. Launching applications in this environment prevents unwanted registry entries and file modifications.

Nitro PDF Reader 2 is a free application thats helps users to create and edit PDF documents. A handy feature with this tool is the ability to save any content entered in PDF form fields and retain an electronic copy of the completed form. You can also reset all fields, so you can reset the form to its original, un-filled state if needed.

Agnitum Outpost Firewall Pro has has also been updated. This comprehensive firewall provides goo levels of protection for home and more advanced users. The latest v7.5 ships with an application guard so new application can be tested within a secure environment.

Finally, an application for socially-minded Mac users, Socialite. Manage all aspects of social networking within a single, well-designed interface. The application supports all of the most popular social services out there - Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Google Reader, Digg as well as RSS subscriptions.
