Adobe has released a patch for the zero-day flaw found in Flash Player. The company recommends users of Windows, Macintosh, Linux and Solaris systems update to Adobe Flash Player 10.2.159.1, while AIR customers for Windows, Macintosh and Linux should move to Adobe AIR 2.6.19140. Chrome users should update to the most recent build.

Adobe said that flaws in Acrobat and Reader for Windows and Macintosh will be fixed no later than 25 April, and for Flash in earlier versions of Android.

Adobe has reported attacks using the flaw via a specially crafted Flash file embedded in a Word or Excel document attachment. Once activated it allows full code execution on an infected machine.

Despite improvements in its security, it looks as though Adobe's security problems aren't over. Experts estimate that the company's platforms will remain under renewed attack for some time to come.
