Those of you looking to purchase a new Mac would be well advised to wait another week or two, as Apple may be preparing to release an update for its flagship MacBook Pro notebook line.
AppleInsider is quoting anonymous sources in reporting that the company is preparing to launch an overhaul of the line some time in early March.
The updates are largely what you would expect. Intel Sandy Bridge processors are said to be the biggest change, though AppleInsider suggested that new configurations may also be on the way.
Intel has recently had problems with the Sandy Bridge line. In late January the company issued a recall of systems after the discovery of a flaw that could cause long-term problems with internal hard drives and optical drives. The issue was promptly addressed and shouldn't effect any of the new Mac systems.
