Step away from repetitive stress injury

Microsoft Research yesterday at a company event in Redmond, WA, unveiled a research project dubbed the Step User Interface.

By using a sensor mat that users control with their feet, the company hopes to cut down on stress on computer users' arms and legs.

Seriously, this isn't the latest dance craze but rather, Microsoft hopes to battle the RSI epidemic by using foot controls to perform repetitive tasks such as reading email or browsing and organising photo collections.
