Looks like Google has sneakily patched a bug in its Desktop software. Watchfire claims to have found a flaw in the way the Google.com site interacts with the Desktop platform. But Google has already patched the bug, Watchfire says.

<p>I thought Google just patched the example Watchfire showcased for how the attack works, but the vulnerability still can be exploited unless you shut off the connection Google Desktop makes between your PC and the Web.</p>
