Forget all those tricky Greasemonkey scripts; Keepvid makes downloading online video from your favourite websites a breeze. Simply go to the Keepvid hompage and paste in the url of the page that contains the video you want, Keepvid will then present you with a download link. The only fiddly part comes with having to rename the file extension .flv, but this is more than made up by the fact that Keepvid will download videos from almost any website.

Get downloading here. Watch out for our next post where we’ll deal with converting your downloaded videos into more friendly formats (MPEG and AVI).
