Although our computers are probably more reliable than they were a few years ago, you only need to be infected with a virus or a Trojan to find that you can't boot back in to your system and you've 'lost' some of the information stored on your computer. Although a hard drive is always salvagable, this takes time and you might need a professional to salvage your data.
The best alternative is to make regular backups to your drive or partition so that your work and information is always kept safe. As external hard drives are so cheap these days, there is no excuse for not backing up your data.
Our latest full commercial download, worth £29, is Paragon's Exact Image 7 SE, which will enable you to backup and restore your drive contents. It also ships with the facility to create a bootable rescue CD in case you do encounter serious problems in the future. Download Exact Image 7 SE and let us have your thoughts.
