Screengrab_4 Security software has worked the same way for years, without too many issues. However, it is open to potential issues. For instance, your anti-virus definitions are produced on a reactive basis, where the developer will respond to the latest threats and hope they get an definition update out quickly enough to prevent you from being infected by this threat. It works for most as viruses are spread slowly.

System Protect 1.0
is a brand new tool from the developers behind Spyware Terminator. It enables you to safeguard a selection of files from deletion, so malicious software can't get on to your system and then affect some of your more important files. This is more of a pro-active approach to fighting possible attack.
