junky-spideroak.gifOnly yesterday we mentioned that Webroot had released their own secure online backup tool, which gave you 2GB of online storage for $29.95/year. Since that blog entry, other users have recommended SpiderOak, which is a relatively new online backup storage facility that offers a 2GB account, free of charge. Best of all, it's well designed and cross platform, so you can use the same tool on your PC as well as on your Mac. Sadly, unlike SugarSync and Syncplicity, you can't easily synchronise your 'backup' files across computers.

SpiderOak 1.4650
is worth trying as you get a free account and you can always upgrade if you require additional storage. Check it against the other recent online backup tools and see how it compares.
