deskdrive-grab.gifWorking with numerous storage devices, although convenient, can cause problems when trying to identify which letter is assigned to each individual drive. Usually we use the Windows Explorer to look for connected storage devices, but wouldn't it be simpler if Windows created a desktop shortcut? Simply click the drive icon and access it, then once you safely remove it the icon disappears from your desktop. This would enable you to quickly find and connect to any connected drives.

Desk Drive 1.6.2 makes it easier to connect to assigned drives; it simply adds a temporary drive shortcut on your desktop that takes you to that destination. You can also use Desk Drive to monitor specified drives, linking you directly to Flash drives and ignoring others depending on your settings.
