Differentiate good websites from the bad with Norton Safe Web

Most people stick with the websites that they trust. However, it's far too easy to search for a site in Google and be presented with a number of different results. How do you know which sites are trustworthy and those which are out to obtain your personal information for their gain? McAfee SiteAdvisor is a plugin for both Firefox and Internet Explorer that employs a traffic light system that will show a green light, amber warning or red light for sites which are viewed as problematic. Users themselves rate each site.

Norton Safe Web is a plugin for Norton Internet Security 2009 which is rather similar to McAfee SiteAdvisor in that your Google results are rated by green tick or red cross and are rated by end users. However, Norton Safe Web requires that you purchase and use Norton Internet Security 2009 and is supplied as a plugin, whereas McAfee SiteAdvisor does not require a McAfee installation to operate. At least in it's basic free mode.
