Add Microsoft Live Search support to Mozilla Firefox

junky-windowslive.gifIt doesn't seem long ago to us, but a few years ago there used to be many different web search engine providers and there was no clear front runner. Indeed, web browser developers enabled you to perform multiple searches across the various engines and would give you the results within your web browser. As each one uses different techniques to locate sites based on your search terms, it gave you the chance to find smaller and newer sites that tend to be overlooked if you just use one major search engine.

Microsoft Live Search for Firefox is an official Microsoft add-on for Firefox that enables you to search via the Microsoft Live engine. It's not an 'add-on' as such, as it's code that adds the functionality to Firefox. However, it gives you another option and you can see how it compares to the standard supplied Google search engine.
