There are few business social networking clients. LinkedIn is the closest, but that's just a directory of contact information and only if the people you want to connect to, bother to add you as a contact. If they don't, then you can't follow their news, updates or contact them directly for a business proposal. Skype is another alternative. However, Twitter is becoming popular as anyone can follow your thoughts or announcements.
