networx.gifHigh speed broadband connections are more readily available than ever both at home and at work. Most home users tend so sign up to broadband packages based on published figures and often choose the most convenient provider. Before you renew your broadband package though, it may be worth looking at your bill more closely, especially if you are being heavily charged for excess bandwidth usage. How do you know if you are being incorrectly charged for unused services? The only way to know for sure is to use a monitoring tool, or to set incoming traffic limits.

NetWorx 4.7 is a handy freeware application that enables users to monitor and evaluate bandwidth usage and network activity. You can use the software to set usage limits over set periods of time so that you can avoid excess charges from your ISP. Incoming and outgoing traffic is represented in a line chart and logged as a file; your statistics can then be viewed in a variety of formats for further analysis.
