junky-edison.gifThere's much discussion about corporates leaving the office lights blazing through the night. However, we forget that we leave our appliances running through the night as we forget to turn off our computers, the photocopier, coffee machine and vending units. Even if our computer goes in to sleep mode, it's still using energy. If your company uses over 500 computers, and none of these are switched off overnight, it's going to use a lot of resources and cost your company unnecessary money.

Edison 1.1 is a free tool for your PC that enables you to quickly re-adjust how much energy your computer should be using, during the working day and overnight. Schedule your working day and configure Edison to use as little energy as possible overnight. You can even see how much it will cost in energy usage, per year, with your current energy requirements. With us, maximising our energy resources would save us £52/year for a single PC.
