mame-grab.gifWhen gamers reminisce about their favourite titles they often refer to games produced a number of years ago, obviously they cannot compete in terms of graphics with more modern games but what they lack in visual impact, they often make up for with highly addictive game play. Games such as Tetris and Space Invaders have stood the test of time and although many big budget games of today may push the boundaries in certain areas, it's doubtful they will be reminisced about or played twenty or thirty years on.

MAME 0.131s
is an application that uses old data files to emulate classic arcade and console games on your home computer. You can source files from web archives and choose from thousands of games from the 70's, 80's and 90's. The application is great fun for the serious or casual gamer but does require a little configuration.
