junky-ashampoomusic.gifFor most people, it's easy to turn to Apple iTunes to grab audio from your favourite CDs. However, it's such a chore making sure you have the latest version installed on your PC. Start the application and it warns you that a new update is available, requiring you to download and install from scratch. It's amazing how many applications iTunes has to close to install, primarily as the process also installs QuickTime to your computer. There must be an easier way of getting your audio on your PC.

Ashampoo Music Studio 2009 is free full commercial software, worth £13. It will enable you to grab audio from your CDs are store as an uncompressed WAV or compressed Ogg Vorbis file. You can then create your own customised audio discs, add your own label and much more.
