T-Mobile hopes to simplify mobile costs for businesses

T-Mobile has announced several enhancements to its Business 1-Plan aimed at helping businesses better cope with the varied needs of mobile users who spend time in countries across Europe.

The firm's European Shared Call Allowances offers a pool of available minutes for use by employees travelling around Europe.

T-Mobile hopes that the addition to its existing service will help simplify the costs of international business communications. Calls from the UK to most of Europe and the US are included in the call allowances.

The mobile operator claimed to be the first to offer unlimited texts as standard to business customers, as well as offering unlimited calls to UK landlines on its two- and three-year deals.

Users of the Business 1-Plan already get unlimited calls to colleagues, as well as the option to add unlimited emails and internet use within T-Mobile's fair use policy. The operator has also tweaked the service for BlackBerry users, offering the option of unlimited email in 130 countries on 277 networks.

"We are very aware of the tough conditions that many UK businesses are currently operating under, and we hope these changes will provide them with greater peace of mind and better control over their expenditure," said Oliver Chivers, head of business marketing at T-Mobile UK.

"By reducing the complexity and cost of mobile communications wherever you need to work, we are confident that the new components of Business 1-Plan offer the most comprehensive and best value to the UK market."

As with other mobile phone contracts, costs are based on the number of minutes and options selected.
