Moroccan state media is reporting that a 26 year-old engineer has been arrested for impersonating a member of the royal family using Facebook.
Fouad Mourtada was arrested and charged with "villainous practices linked to the alleged theft of the identity" of Prince Moulay Rachid.
The prince is the brother of Moroccan ruler Mohammed VI and is second in line to the throne.
"It is worth mentioning that members of the royal family have neither websites nor blogs, and the only official way to obtain information about them was through the portal of the Maghreb Arab press agency," said the state media organisation.
Mourtada now faces a trial and possible prison time for his misuse of the popular site.
