A US website if offering anyone in the world the chance to broadcast their own talk radio show free of charge.
The recently established GiveMeTalk! site is a testament both to the potential global reach of the internet, and the enormous growth in both popularity and influence of the talk radio in the US.
Even US presidential hopeful Senator John McCain has made his own talk show for the GiveMeTalk! site, and prominent US games developer Geoff Green has a regular show with news on the latest PC games.
Users can download the GiveMeTalk! Home Studio audio tool free, along with instructions to help them record and upload their radio show. A library of sound effects to enhance the show content is also available.
It is also possible to insert your own sound effects (in .wav format) into a show at any point using the free software which also includes features such as Fade In, Fade Out, Silence, Zoom and Delete.
The free Home Studio software requires a 200Mhz Pentium II PC or above, configured with a Soundblaster-compatible sound card running Windows 95 or higher.
Each broadcaster receives their own unique and fully customisable page on the GiveMeTalk! site to help promote their programmes.
The top 10 most popular broadcasts to date include Tech Nation: John McCain, Cigar Smoking 101, What I Do All Day and Does Size Matter?
