Oracle has joined Microsoft in choosing one day of the month to release its software patches.
This allows IT managers to schedule specific times for downloading and testing patches before they begin installation.
"Security is a matter we take seriously at Oracle and, while we stand firmly behind the inherent security of our products, we are always working to do better," said the company in a statement.
"When software security flaws are discovered, Oracle responds as quickly as possible with patches and workarounds in order to help protect information secured by customers."
Oracle has yet to name a date yet, but it is thought that the process will begin next month.
Patches for current vulnerabilities in Oracle Database, Oracle Application Server and Oracle Enterprise Manager will be released by 31 August.
