Fuel giant Texaco has rolled out wireless hotspots to more than 100 of its garage forecourts around the UK.
Working with T-Mobile HotSpot, Texaco has introduced the hotspots for 'road warrior' businesspeople on major road routes.
Dedicated surfing bays have also been created, so that customers can connect to the internet and corporate networks using wireless laptops to check emails and download documents.
The company has installed the T-Mobile HotSpots to fuel interest in its forecourts among the three to five million business travellers using UK roads each day.
"It is another way for us to make life simpler for our customers who are already stopping at Texaco for petrol, snacks or other services," said Peter Oakford, Texaco's general manager of marketing support Europe, in a statement.
Brian McBride, T-Mobile UK's managing director, said in a statement that HotSpots would "provide businesspeople with fast, convenient access to the internet on major roads up and down the country".
