Stocks of Nintendo's Wii consoles are reportedly running low in the run up to Christmas.
High street retailers in the UK are reporting that it is difficult to get enough products to meet customer demand.
"Wii consoles are selling out as soon as new stock arrives," said a spokesman for Woolworths.
Nintendo stated that it is aware that the consoles are in high demand and is doing "everything possible" to increase shipments.
Wii Sports, which comes free with the console, scooped six Baftas at this year's game awards.
According to figures from sales monitoring website VG Chartz, Nintendo's Wii became the best-selling games console in the world in August.
Do you agree?
Utter Stupidity!
You would think that Nintendo would have made sure there was enough stock to go around. With sales being so high for months, they should've known better!
But it dont help with shops like Woolworths displaying Wii Boxes & give impression of being in stock, only to be told when you try to buy the Wii that stocks are low & you have to pre-order & hopefully you get it before Xmas, but only if you got a Credit/Debit Card. So those who dont have only a cashpoint card loose out!!
So will sales drop for them as the public get fed up of being misled, messed around? Well I think I'm tempted to look elsewhere for something else instead!
