Apple has again pushed back the shipping date for pre-orders of the iPhone 4 in the UK, suggesting that the firm is struggling to cope with unprecedented demand for the device.
Customers who order the iPhone 4 online will now have to wait until 14 July for the device to ship.
Apple was forced into a similar move last week just a day after making the device available for pre-order, when it pushed the estimated shipping date back to 2 July.
The iPhone 4 was first made available for pre-order on 15 June and will be launched on 24 June on all major UK network operators.
V3.co.uk contacted Apple for further comment on the change to the shipping date but the firm had not replied at the time of publication.
Yesterday Apple updated its iPhone operating system to iOS 4 for the iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS, and for second and third generation iPod touch devices.
The update provides the ability to multi-task for the first time, although this option is restricted to the iPhone 4 and 3GS models.
