Check Point has promised to provide a fix later today to restore internet connectivity to ZoneAlarm customers who have suffered a web blackout after installing yesterday's Microsoft update.
"Later today, Check Point will be issuing a ZoneAlarm update that provides a permanent solution to users," the firm said.
For more information on this issue and the workaround options, ZoneAlarm users are advised to keep checking Check Point's ZoneAlarm Security Advisory.
In a Security Advisory posted yesterday, Check Point advised ZoneAlarm users of workaround options for restoring connectivity to the internet.
The options include temporarily uninstalling yesterday's hotfix KB951748 issued by Microsoft or setting ZoneAlarm firewall security to 'medium'.

ZoneAlarm patch released and works!
Just thought I'd add that ZoneAlarm have just released version 70.483.000 which fixes the problem, for me anyway.
