Online productivity suite provider Zoho has furthered its push into the enterprise by launching new integration capabilities with Microsoft's popular SharePoint content management solution.
Zoho Office for Microsoft SharePoint lets customers use Zoho's online collaborative productivity applications to create, view and edit files stored in SharePoint, according to Zoho.
The software comes as an add-on that can be installed on top of Microsoft SharePoint 2007 and 2003. When clicking on a file in SharePoint, users will be given the options to 'Edit in Zoho Editor' or 'View in Zoho Editor'.
Users choosing to edit will do so within a Zoho editor in SharePoint via Zoho Writer, Sheet or Show, depending on the type of file.
"We noticed that some businesses like the collaboration capabilities of online productivity applications, but prefer to keep their data behind their firewall," said Zoho evangelist Raju Vegesna.
"With Zoho Office for Microsoft SharePoint we are offering the best of both worlds: collaborative productivity apps integrated with Microsoft SharePoint behind the corporate firewall."
Zoho Office for Microsoft SharePoint is available now as a 30-day free trial version, and thereafter at subscription rates of $24 (£14) per user per year or $3 (£2) per user per month.
