An old age pensioner has become the latest star of teen-oriented video sharing site YouTube.
'Peter', who goes by the username Geriatric1927, is a 78 year-old widower from England who promises "geriatric gripes and grumbles".
His first video has been viewed over 850,000 times since it was uploaded on 5 August.
"I got addicted to YouTube. It's a fascinating place to go to see all the wonderful videos young people have produced. So I thought I'd have a go at doing one myself," Peter said in his first video.
"What I hope I'll be able to do is just bitch and grumble about life in general from the perspective of an old person who's been there and done that.
"Hopefully you will respond in some way by your comments and then I might be able to do other videos to follow up your comments."
Over 14,000 people have subscribed to Peter's video feed and he is ranked among the top users currently on the site. His video feed is the third most subscribed to in the history of YouTube.
Responding to his instant popularity on the site, Peter said: "I am absolutely overwhelmed and don't quite know what to say.
"This YouTube experience has been one of the major changes and breakthroughs in my life and given me a whole new world to experience."
Users can view more videos on Peter's page on YouTube.

reading peters comment's so far only in the daily male iwas interested in his experience with motor bike's had an old Austin seven at the same time and as petrol was quite a problem we diluted it with paraffin and even tried meths.needless to say we also had a few fires as sometimes the mixture became quite volatile. spares were not a problem as in many of the fields old cars and lorries had been dumped to stop German's landing it struck me as daft think young boys today would be a lot happier if they had a bit more freedom to get involved doing there own thing instead of being controlled by p.c and wrapped in cotton wool.I still ride a motorbike a Kawasaki 600zzr but still remember the fun we had on all the old 1930 stuff
