Apple has organised a news conference for 16 July that will apparently tackle some of the issues surrounding the iPhone 4.
The handset was launched on 24 June to a fanfare of excitement, but this soon settled down to disappointment for some as problems with the phone's antenna started to arise.
Apple has not confirmed what will be discussed at the news event, but the company cannot ignore the pressing questions about the iPhone's loss of signal, and will face difficult questions about a possible recall.
Apple has acknowledged the signal loss issue, and has claimed that it is the result of miscalculated signal strengths in the first place. But this has not assuaged user and industry concerns.
Influential US ratings group Consumer Reports said this week that it is unable to recommend the iPhone 4, and directed potential buyers to the earlier 3GS model.
Apple announced at the end of June that it had sold 1.7 million iPhone 4 handsets in the three days after launch.
Do you agree?
Good!

Apple has promised to give out free iPhone 4 bumpers.
Apple have said that they will be giving out bumpers, and also, if people really dont want there iPhone 4s anymore, they are offering a full refund if you take your iPhone back to one of the many apple stores. I dont think we could have asked for much more of a better response from apple, although, i will not be using a bumper onmy iPhone 4, as i think it takes away the beauty of it, which is why i got it in the first place...but my iPhone 4 works just fine, so im ok.
