NetSuite is offering companies a discount to cash in their embedded applications for software-as-a-service (SaaS) deals.
The offer mimics deals in the US and UK, where the government offers a rebate for scrapping old cars for new models.
NetSuite is offering a $500 (£300) discount on every $5,000 (£3,000) spent on its software if it is used to replace in-house applications, or £500 per £5,000 in the UK.
"The only thing we're asking is that you are replacing on-premises applications," said Mimi Peiris, vice president of product marketing at NetSuite. "Typically we are replacing a whole host of applications."
NetSuite is linking the deal to a report published last month touting the green credentials of SaaS. The firm estimates that such systems save $10,000 (£6,000) over installed applications by cutting energy and travel costs, and reducing carbon footprints.
The offer is valid for any new companies signing up to NetSuite until 31 October.
