Over 10.5 million BBC programmes have been watched via iPlayer through Virgin Media's TV service since it launched in June.
Virgin Media's 3.5 million subscribers are the first to have the BBC iPlayer available in full screen picture quality through a TV platform.
"Our customers are using BBC iPlayer on Virgin Media to watch the BBC programmes they want when they want," said Malcolm Wall, chief executive of content at Virgin Media.
"We are delighted by the fantastic customer response and the continued success of our on-demand offering."
Since its launch in December iPlayer has proved a huge hit with viewers on a number of platforms, prompting major spikes in network traffic which has irked some service providers.
The BBC has recently revamped the iPlayer, adding radio and a TV scheduler among other things.
Most popular BBC iPlayer programmes during June on Virgin Media:
1. EastEnders
2. Doctor Who
3. Holby City
4. Casualty
5. Top Gear
6. Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps
7. The Apprentice
8. Friday Night with Jonathan Ross
9. In the Night Garden
10. The Apprentice: You're Fired

BBC iPlayer
This is fantastic to see this amazingly popular outlet, the iPlayer, being rolled out onto different platforms. The BBC's output can now be enjoyed on computer, Television, or anywhere at all on a handheld device. I think its popularity is tribute to the BBC's rich and diverse TV and radio offerings. At a time when the license fee is under question, scrutiny, and threat, the iPlayer is proving what a great broadcaster we have in this country, and what a loss it would be if it were lost.
