Dell has announced a special promotion in which it will offer zero per cent financing to small and medium-sized businesses.
To qualify for the programme, customers will be required to lease at least $25,000 (£17,000) worth of Latitude notebooks and PowerEdge server systems before 1 May. At the end of the 36-month lease, buyers will then have the option to purchase the equipment outright for an additional $1 (70p).
Zero per cent financing promotions have gained favour with IT vendors looking to appeal to businesses in the current economic crisis. HP rolled out a similar promotion with its server systems earlier this year, while Dell has already offered a zero per cent deal on its EqualLogic storage systems.
"What's great about the $1 buy-out offer is that most customers refreshing their technology infrastructure will qualify," said Erik Dithmer, vice president and general manager of small and medium business at Dell.
"Customers want exceptional value, especially during tough times, and we think Dell is best able to deliver solutions and financing options that help customers stay productive, lower costs and improve cash flow."
