Fujitsu revamps LifeBook range

Fujitsu has overhauled its range of ultraportable mini-notebooks with three new models released today.

The LifeBook U820 notebook has a 5.6in display, Intel Atom processor and an optional 64GB solid state drive. The LifeBook P1630 is a tablet PC with an 8.9in screen, while the N7010 model is designed to be a desktop replacement with its 16in display and Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 processor running at 2.26GHz.

The N7010 also has a secondary 4in touchscreen display built-in to enable users to view photographs and work on new applications.

Fujitsu also upgraded its LifeBook P6130 convertible tablet PC with the addition of a 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 processor and an 8.9in display. The PC also boasts improved battery life at six hours.

Pricing for the LifeBook P6130 starts at about £1,359, while the LifeBook N7010 starts at £935 and the U820 is around £654.

In related news, Fujitsu announced that it is to buy out Siemens' stake in the IT infrastructure venture Fujitsu Siemens Computers.

The 50-50 joint venture was established on 1 October 1999 and is based in the Netherlands.
