Further details on the hardware powering the new iPhone 3G S have emerged, after T-Mobile Netherlands posted the specifications on the processor and RAM used in the new handset.
The company's iPhone page says that the new handset will sport a 600MHz ARM processor and carry 256MB of RAM. The new hardware is a significant step up from the iPhone 3G, which uses a 400MHz chip and 128MB of RAM.
Apple had touted the faster processor and improved memory when it introduced the new iPhone model at its World Wide Developer Conference earlier this week, but many of the specific details on the hardware were not given.
The company claims that the iPhone 3G S will be able to perform specific tasks at speeds up to double that of the current iPhone.
T-Mobile did not give any information on a possible European rollout, but the iPhone 3G S is set to go on sale in the US on 19 June. Apple has said that an international rollout would take place in the weeks following the US launch.
