Archos has released a line of Android-based devices ranging from a handheld media player to a full 10.1in tablet system.
At the low end of the spectrum is the Archos 28 media player starting at £99 and sporting 4GB or 8GB capacity. The £199 Archos 32 adds a video camera and a larger 16GB capacity.
The remaining three devices range from the 4.3in Archos 43 to the 7in Archos 70 and 10.1in Archos 101. Each of the devices features a 1GHz processor and runs Android 2.2 with support for Adobe Flash 10.1.
Headlining the tablet models will be the £299 16GB Archos 101. The 10.1in tablet weighs 480g and is 12mm thick. The tablets each support 720p video playback and carry an HDMI connector for video output to a monitor or television set.
The devices support Wi-Fi connections, along with USB and Bluetooth support, and are enabled for tethering via a 3G smartphone.
Archos said that the 28, 32 and 43 handheld models will arrive in September. The 70 and 101 tablets are slated to hit the UK by October.
