UK supermarket chain Tesco has developed a system that will allow people to compile a shopping list on their pocket PCs and then send their order through their PCs when they get home.
Customers who own a pocket PC with Windows software, and already use Tesco.com to do their shopping, can download a database of Tesco's products which are available online.
With this information the user can design a shopping list offline and specify the day and time they want it delivered.
Dubbed the Pocket Shopper, Tesco said that the service is pitched at technology-conscious female professionals.
