Following yesterday's reports of online pirated copies of the latest Harry Potter film, AOL Time Warner has claimed they are nothing but empty files.
It appeared that the film had been downloaded from one particular site more than 500 times.
But according to the BBC, AOL Time Warner found the internet copies of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets to be empty dummies.
A Bulgarian hacker known as 'Krum', however, said the studio behind the film had a vested interest in making it appear there was a dud copy online.
"It takes people hours to download a film and they are not going to if they think it is going to be empty," he said.
Krum claimed there are three working copies of the film on the internet at various illegal sites.
