Apple has released new content in its iTunes store for Spanish-speaking users and fans of Latin music.
The new content is located in a special area of the US iTunes store known as 'iTunes Latino'.
Apple will offer Latin music in several genres, including local styles such as 'Regional Mexicano' as well as contemporary music styles like 'hip-hop', 'pop' and 'alternative'.
"Latin music has been a huge hit on iTunes and now we are bringing music fans even more of what they love in a dedicated area on the iTunes Store," said iTunes vice president Eddie Cue.
Apple has also partnered with Spanish-language TV networks Telemundo and Mun2 to provide TV shows for its download media store.
The iTunes Latino content will be available for download at the same prices as Apple's other iTunes content: $0.99 per song and $1.99 per TV show episode.
The US Census Bureau estimates that 29 million US residents speak Spanish at home, and that Hispanics are the fastest growing ethnic group in the US.
