AMD has been subpoenaed by the US Department of Justice as part of an investigation into antitrust issues in the graphics industry.
The move comes following AMD's buyout of the graphics card and chip manufacturer ATI.
"AMD has received a subpoena from the US Department of Justice Antitrust Division in connection with the DoJ’s investigation into potential antitrust violations related to graphics processors and cards," an official statement from AMD said.
"AMD entered the graphics processor business following the company’s acquisition of ATI Technologies last month."
AMD said the DOJ had not made any specific allegations against itself or ATI.
"AMD intends to cooperate with the investigation," the company said.
