One of the astronauts onboard the space shuttle Endeavour, which recently docked at the International Space Station, has been bombarded with emails from a number of astro-groupies.
The European Space Agency reported that Italian astronaut Umberto Guidoni has received hundreds of emails recently, many of them proposals of marriage or raunchy and "libidinous suggestions from would-be astronaut groupies" which the Agency has been forced to filter out.
The ESA said that the astronaut has also attracted emails from the "inevitable weirdos" that roam the internet, including threats from an "alien" identifying himself as the Grand Warlord of Arcturus IV. But even the weirdest of the weirdos usually send best wishes for the mission's success, said the ESA.
You can read most of Guidoni's emails as well as send your own messages up to Endeavour here.
But the ESA has requested that no more people send marriage proposals and said: "Please, if you are the Grand Warlord of Arcturus IV, just keep your ideas to yourself."
