Fujitsu-Siemens Computers (FSC) has updated its enterprise workstation line-up with an entry-level model designed for power efficiency and quiet operation.
Available immediately, the Celsius W370 matches the needs of business users who require more performance than that of a high-end PC, according to FSC.
The system is based on Intel Core 2 processors up to the quad-core Q9550 at 2.83GHz, with 2Gb memory and graphics options up to Nvidia's Quadro FX 1700.
The Celsius W370 has support for Intel's vPro technology and ships with FSC's DeskView client management software.
Target markets for the system include entry-level computer-aided design, 2D digital content creation and electronic design automation.
The Celsius W370 features optimised cooling and is one of the most silent workstation designs on the market, FSC said. It also has an 80 per cent efficient power supply and full compliance with Energystar 4.0 requirements.
FSC also unveiled a new thin client aimed at server-based computing and virtual client environments. The Futro S450 is based on an AMD Sempron processor with up to 1Gb memory and has built-in energy-saving components.
