Siemens has unveiled a number of new products designed to take its current telephone line based enterprise PBX systems into the IP world.
The launch includes the HiPath 5000 family of IP PBX systems, which Siemens has now renamed communication servers; the HiPath AllServe device, that enables multiple offices to share network applications; and a MobileOffice suite aimed at teleworkers and remote call centre agents.
The HiPath 5000 range includes two communication servers, an IP gateway, three IP phones, an analogue terminal adapter and four IP telephony applications.
AllServe enables users at up to four office locations to share enterprise applications instead of requiring separate networks.
MobileOffice features the HiPath range of MobileWork teleworking products, two additions to Siemens' Xpressions unified messaging family, and its PhoneMail voice messaging platform.
MobileOffice users are able to redirect calls individually from their phone or PC, and can set personal profiles allowing incoming calls to be forwarded to mobile phones or alternate locations.
