A professional woman 10-pin bowling champion has managed to sell ad space on her bottom for $14,389 via web auction house eBay.
Kim Adler used the online auctioneer to sell eight square inches of ad space on her skirts and shorts, according to news agency Bloomberg.
The top bid came from an indoor swimming pool manufacturer, Pacific Pools.
Adler, who earned $9,000 in May for winning a tournament on the Professional Women's Bowling Association tour, will make more than that during the next year just for putting advertisements on her clothes.
"From the numbers they had been throwing at me, I wasn't surprised that it had got that high. But it was still exciting to watch that last hour, refreshing my screen and seeing if the bid had gone up," Adler told reporters.
During the auction, she got 37 bids from companies selling products such as orange juice and sports memorabilia as well as leasing firms and web hosting companies.
"We're very fortunate and happy to have won it," said Bill Wiley, director of marketing for Pacific Pools. "I looked at it and said: 'There's an opportunity here.' Kim is obviously a successful bowler and represents herself well."
