More than 7,000 UK paedophiles have been identified by the FBI following an investigation into child pornography on the internet.
The British suspects used their credit cards to gain access to two porn sites, claims a report by The Sunday Telegraph.
The information was stored in the websites' databases which were seized during FBI raids in October of last year.
The suspects registered with the pay-per-view websites between May 1999 and September 2001, using email addresses and credit cards.
The FBI has apparently already used the information to raid the homes of hundreds of former subscribers to the websites and has handed over details of the UK customers to British police.
British detectives say they are planning to use the data to mount similar raids in this country.
