UK Prime Minister Tony Blair has been forced to change his movements in the run up to the Labour Party conference following the theft of a laptop containing security details on the event.
The laptop, which belonged to a member of the armed forces, was taken on Tuesday morning from a car parked at a Hampshire service station on the M3 motorway.
As well as details of the Labour Party event in Manchester, the laptop also held security plans for the Conservative Party conference in Bournemouth.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said that security arrangements had been "fully reviewed" in light of the theft.
Greater Manchester Police said that its policing plans had been revised to ensure that security was not compromised.
The Labour Party conference begins on Sunday and runs until Thursday.
