Google is smarting: with the imminent release of Internet Explorer 9, Microsoft has stolen a march on its rivals in the browser market for the first time. The slimmed down user interface and faster loading times are a direct threat to Chrome’s major selling points, which is why Chrome has quickly found itself pushed into development.
Whilst version 11 added support for Google Instant, which anticipates what URLs and search terms you're going to enter by loading web pages as you start typing. You can also now see the sign-in page for Google Cloud Print service, which will eventually allow you to print over the internet to compatible printers from wherever you are. Chrome 10 also adds built-in sandboxing of the Adobe Flash Player plug-in for security reasons to help block potential malicious Flash code from gaining a foothold on your system.
Chrome 12 and 13 were mostly about performance improvements.
Google Chrome 14 offered a host of new features including the Native Client, which will enable developers to build powerful web apps that combine code that's run locally (and securely through a double sandbox) in association with web-based code to provide improved online gaming, media and other intensive applications.
Chrome 16 offered multi-user support, so you can use one browser in one user profile and simply log in and out to access your bookmarks and browsing history.
Chrome 19 was a major upgrade that brought tab synchronisation. An example: say you're at your work computer, booked a restaurant, but forgotten to print directions, left work and forgotten the name of the restaurant. It happens. With tab synchronisation, you just need to power up your laptop or Android device, open Chrome and you should see the tabs from your desktop computer automatically open on your mobile device.
Chrome 26 is now the latest stable release, with improved spell-checking, an updated dictionary and much more.
Do you agree?
Chrome v.0.696?
Since updating my browser to this latest model it has slowed down significantly, even to the point of advising me that my homepages (BBC & Virgin) are not available and 'do I want to kill them or wait? Immediately switching to IE8 has been ok. I have now moved on to 'Pale Moon 3' which - at the moment - is fine. I had been using 'Chrome' for some 4 months.

Just say 'NO'
Chrome, Firefox and the rest just can't match the functionality and features of Maxthon. I've tried FF and Chrome and always go back to Maxthon. Seems that if you want either of those to function like Maxthon you have to load all kinds of different ad-ons. And they still aren't as good !! Not for me!!!!!

Pale Moon (Firefox wannabe)
Tried PaleMoon also. Just another name for Firefox, with even less features. Try Maxthon version 2.5.18.1000, you'll be glad you did !!!

Google need not worry about explorer
For many people who use windows XP they cannot even use the new Explorer never mind compare it so the comment about Google being pushed by Microsoft ids not really accurate

Chrome - The Best
I have nothing but praise for Google Chrome - it does what it says on the packet!

Firefox just works better
Tried Chrome, awfully dissapointed after Firefox.
Chrome just seems like the simple early days of browsers, nowt there, so its called simple and its not quicker than Firefox; but a bit more than IE8, unless a complicated site, then nothing seems to work as intended.
It's an "also ran."

Chrome vs Firefox vs IE8&9
I've had no problems with any of these browsers. It just comes down to personal preference and what your use to using. Chrome is faster to load and it has Flashplayer built in, so I mainly use it.
I'm also wondering why all the previous comments are so dated. 7 months or older. Hmmm?

Look Ma, No Home Page
Strangely enough, Chrome 19 seems to have eliminated the ability to select a home page. If you activate the Home button and click it, you get the Chrome Web Store link. Not a bright piece of programming.

BBC iplayer
v.21 won't let me download using BBC iPlayer, nor will it take me to my Homepage. It also seems to take longer on accessing the regular pages that I have used for years
