Use your Mac to track client invoices and oustanding money

If you’re a self-employed web programmer you’ll probably spend time working on multiple projects, perhaps as a freelancer for various design teams, located in different areas, time zones and work with multiple currencies. Getting paid quickly isn’t easy and it’s often very easy to forget to chase an outstanding invoice, thus making it even more difficult to get paid at a later date.

What you need is specialist invoicing software that enables you to enter your projects as soon as they are commissioned and then send an invoice when the work is complete. You can then be reminded automatically, as soon as the invoice is outstanding. This means you can get on with your work, whilst realising that you’ll be reminded to chase an invoice.

Billable is a Mac-only client and invoice tracking system that will enable you to design, send and track your invoices. It works alongside your existing software, such as the Mac addressbook, to pull relevant information. If you work with international clients, you can change the tax/VAT relevant to the territory. For example, a VAT registered business doesn’t need to include the VAT when invoicing another VAT registered business in the European Union.
