We’ve talked a lot about eBay recently and it’s becoming an online shopping portal for those wanting to purchase goods online. As you can order goods from outside the UK, in theory you can purchase cheaper versions of certain goods, without having to fly over and buy them in person. If they are second hand, you may not even have to pay certain tax and import duties, which is a key reason for the popularity of the site.
However, following eBay auctions from other territories can be rather tricky as you can’t always follow the time and auction end-date for those online from outside the UK. Also, if the price is in Euros, it may not be converted correctly, and the shipping costs may be displayed in a value that is only applicable to posting within their local territory.
myTimeZone for eBay is an add-on that enables you to quickly convert the value of products displayed on the site, in a local currency, shows the time left for the auction in your local timezone and will even convert and show the postage in your local currency.
Now, if we’re mistaken, most eBay users can probably do a lot of this conversion, themselves. Indeed, eBay will convert currency on the fly and it’s not that tricky to see how a foreign eBay item is close to completion, so we’re not entirely sure how relevant this add-on is for the majority of eBay users. However, you can try it yourself and see how it improves your eBay experience.
Note that this is a Firefox add-on for Firefox 2 through to v3b3.
Do you agree?
Best eBay extension ever
Best ebay firefox extension out there - period. Very well done with tons of useful features that make buying on ebay so much easier.
If you use ebay you'll love this extension!

Lots of extra features
This add-on is far more useful and has loads of features not discussed here. I'd urge you to reconsider your review. The latest version (version 1.5) adds a LOT of new features which go way beyond what eBay is capable of such as auction countdown timers, auction alarms, auto login feature, etc. etc.
vnunet.com comment: note that our reviews are based on a particular version of the software and are not re-written when we update the link/revision, unless there is a major revision to the software. However, this comment section enables you to add positive or negative feedback.

More kudos
I agree with the first commenter: this extension should be re-reviewed. The newest version (1.6) adds some major new features.
In my opinion, this extension has grown to the point where I believe it is far more useful than eBay's own standalone app, eBay Desktop.
This extension really deserves a 5. Browse over to it's public page at Mozilla and you'll find about a dozen reviewers ALL rating it a 10 - that's unheard of.
