Tradewinds 2

Tradewinds 2 is a humorous adventure game set in a Carrabian-esque world. It features lush graphics and 5 separate playable characters with the option to create your own, though this feature has to be unlocked through playing the game.

Your overall objective is to defeat the dreaded pirate LaRoche, scourge of the seas. However, this won't be an easy task as he owns a mighty fleet of ships and is himself very hard to track down.

Thus, in order to defeat him you will have to carry out tasks for the governors of the various islands. In return, they will give you information bringing you closer to your goal. Completing the game allows you to play as LeRoche himself and terrorize the seas.

By trading items and pillaging from other ships you can raise money to buy better weapons and ammunitions for your craft and eventually purchase an entirely new ship.

There is a definite resemblance to Lucas Arts classic series "Monkey Island" about the game and whilst Tradewinds isn't quite as funny it does provide an enjoyable alternative.
